Six word Saturday

Would anyone like a marmalade sandwich?

I had my annual Christmas jaunt to Newcastle-on-Tyne this week, and a date with a very engaging character, in Fenwick’s shop window.

He got up to some very strange antics, but then, that’s Paddington Bear for you.

The windows are skilfully done and seldom disappoint, either children or adults.Β  Really difficult to photograph, though.

Dawn loves a Lingering Look at Windows.Β  Perhaps you do too.Β  Why not join her?Β  And please don’t forget to share six words with our Debbie.Β  Whatever you do, have a great weekend!Β  And if you love snow, I hope you have just the right amount.

  1. So cute and I do love orange marmalade!! We have a dusting of snow this morning again, but I’d be willing to have several inches. Alas, I haven’t been consulted. πŸ™‚ Thanks for letting me see these gorgeous windows without the hassle. Cheers!

  2. You did very well photographing through the windows and I only noticed one with reflections, and that was interesting to see a glimpse of all the crowds looking in at Paddington with you.

  5. Marvelous photos, Jo. We don’t get such shows up here in the Boondocks. Thanks! As far as the sandwich invitation, just hand me the marmalade and a spoon, please!

  6. Jo, this is the best window I’ve yet seen this year!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ I bet there are hoards of crowds around it. Well, I know not to ask Paddington for help around the house…a lovely pictured set of calamities…but everything is alright as he has his sumptuous Afternoon Tea! Enjoy the snow ⛄️, if you have any! πŸ˜€β„οΈ

      1. Yeah, that’s what I thought too Jo, very cheeky! Ah the floods, well now I’m dealing with plumbers, blocked storm water pipes and potential loop holes in insurance clauses. All fun and games. But we’ll get there, slowly but surely. Thanks for asking. 😬

  7. oh I love him, he’s wonderful. Window dressing seems a think of the past in my neck of the woods as the big stores in Southampton are all in malls, and our little ones in Winchester just don’t have the space.
