Let’s have a touch of serenity!
Heaven knows, we need it at this time of year. Serenity, for me, usually involves water. The gentle bobbing of boats and whisper of tide, lapping shore. A frond or two of green, framing sky and sea. A powder puff of cloud….
Do any of these say Serene to you? Let’s give it one last try.
Tavira is lovely, don’t you think? Perhaps that should have been my six words. Do go and have some fun with Debbie. Happy weekend!

So many serenities and all in the Algarve. Aren’t there any in England????

Just divine, Jo. I always enjoy seeing sunlight on water. It’s very moody.

Such peaceful scenes, though additional snow a bit confusing, Jo. We had some like that in Hay, but it didn’t last. Happy rest of weekend.

Heaps of snow here on Thursday, Tish, but as if by magic… I could do the same to the WP snow, but I’m quite fond of it. 🙂 🙂 And to you, darlin!

Great selection for the six words, Jo, with the exception of those anchors perhaps….

I have a soft spot for those anchors, Sue. Many’s the time I’ve just gazed. 🙂 🙂 But, thank you!

Got to do something with all those photos I took in the Algarve, Liesbet. 🙂 🙂 Many thanks for your appreciation. Getting very slowly into Christmas mode over here. Thursday’s snow started it off.

Until I saw the fabulous scallop shell and then the anchors I thought we were on one of your fabulous north-east beaches. Some lovely images here Jo. Have a good weekend – it is pretty grey and cold here so I think I shall get the Christmas presents wrapped and then snuggle in and read for the rest of the afternoon 🙂

You can identify our north east beaches by the number of clothes people are wearing. 🙂 🙂 I swift marched Mick along the Headland the other day and he’s not stopped complaining since. I took him to the pub to warm up afterwards. No pleasing some folk! I’ve been a whirlwind today but I’m slumped in a heap now. 🙂 No presents to wrap yet! Have to give it serious thought.

I only do presents for the OH and the Aussie grandchildren, the others get money and we stopped doing gifts for adults a few years ago because it gets expensive. Christmas should be just a time for families to get together, not about presents. But to be honest it’s nicer to spend time with them in the summer months.

I almost fell back asleep, Jo, as I’m so relaxed now. Too bad I have things to do today, but I’ll carry that sense of peace with me as long as possible. 🙂 Have a great weekend.

I guess I need to get busy on Christmas but we usually wait till Adam’s birthday is over on December 7. We’ll see how that goes this year…. Hopefully, I’ll get in the Christmas spirit soon. I sure enjoyed my years living abroad during the holidays. I could so easily skip them altogether. 🙂

I don’t like to start too early, Cathy. I did a charity event yesterday and a CHristmas fair (with a reindeer 🙂 ) today but we won’t get our tree till next weekend. We usually buy wreathes for the cemetery at the same time- 3 this year! Dad, Mam and Mick’s Mam and Dad.

I don’t like to start too early either, Jo. We’ll probably get our tree next weekend too; Adam’s birthday is Thursday, so once that’s over, it’s all Christmas. Oh so sad about the wreaths for you parents, Jo. Holidays are always sad when you miss someone you dearly loved. xx

I DOES look serene, Jo, though it’s My Beloved Sandra’s definition of ‘serene’. Mine has more to do with forested hills. Thanks anyway; I needed.

One of the things I love about escaping to the Algarve, Peter, is that I tend to switch off from the news. Irresponsible, maybe, but there’s not much good stuff about, is there? Thanks very much 🙂 🙂
