Six word Saturday

With love, from me to you!

It’s here and gone again, and it’s nearly time to whizz the decorations away.  I did love having my hearth flicker in candlelight, and those rosy dawns, sitting beside my Christmas tree. Usually I hang on to till twelfth night, reluctant to shed the sparkle for cold, dark mornings.  But this year I’m heading south, hoping for a little early warmth, so my tree will have to come down tomorrow.

It was fun while it lasted, wasn’t it?  But here I am, saying goodbye to the good with the bad. Wishing, as we always do, for the peace that eludes our world.  Can’t say it better than the Beatles- “With love, from me to you”.  Want to share six words?

Happy New Year!  Feel free to go walking without me on Monday.  God bless!

  1. I love how beautiful all of the Christmas decorations make our homes feel but I have to say, I am always ready to take them down post holiday season & resume to normal!

Wishing you safe travels as you make your way to the Algarve & a very Happy New Year my friend!

  2. What a lovely Christmas display, Jo. 🙂
Wishing you and your loved ones the happiest of New Years and all the best for 2017.
Sad to say, 2016 will be the year we remember for all the wrong reasons. x

    1. They give me an excuse not to dust and hoover, Andrew, so it’s a mixed blessing. 🙂 Same for you, huh? I have some fun things and a lot of walking lined up. Might need a holiday when I get back! Peace, joy and a lot of hugs for you in 2017 🙂

    1. Watching Rafa and thinking about maybe ironing in a while. I had a quick blast of watery sunshine early on, and now just a bit of cooking to do and eating all the leftovers before we go away. I should have WiFi in the Algarve so I’ll pop in when I can. I have gift wrapped some hugs to keep you going 🙂 🙂

      1. It’s not quite 2017 here yet. I’m in Melbourne, Victoria with Marsha and it’s nearly 11pm on NYE but home in Queensland it’s only 10pm because there’s no daylight saving. Marsha and I are staying in an amazing Airbnb place right in the centre of the city, and we’re planning to go down to street level and cross the road. We will join the crowd in front of the State Library to watch the fireworks go off on top of the buildings and then come straight back and up in the elevator. Hopefully our strategy works well and we can avoid the crush of people all trying to go home at once when the fireworks are over.
