‘Pictures of Lily. Lily, oh Lily!’
Keeping it simple, because I won’t be here to respond to comments till late in the day. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and I’ve whisked him away to the Yorkshire Dales (or perhaps, he’s whisked me?). Normally I’d receive a bouquet, with lilies, but I wasn’t here to receive them. Instead I’ve been keeping an eye on some lovely ones that we planted in our garden a few weeks ago. There are 3 different shades and I’ve been watching them steadily unfurl. Fingers crossed, the last bronzy ones will be open on my return.

Thanks, darlin’. I was just thinking that today won’t have enough hours in it, but yesterday was beautiful (if a little wet at times 🙂 ) Love the photo of ‘your gang’. So many lovely memories we are both building, sweetheart. Very tender hugs this morning. 🙂 Have a put your feet up day!

When we moved back to the United States from living overseas, my husband planted some lilies. I was amazed at how big they grew.

Happy Anniversary, Jo and hope you had a lovely romantic time in Yorkshire! These are beautiful – I love lilies. You say you only planted them a few weeks ago? Is that right? They’re stunning and I used to have many in the garden every year until my son hit football age and so many became damaged! Hardier flowers and bushes now!
