Counting my Blessings

IMG_1505

Traditional though it may be, I really don’t want to waste the time and energy reviewing my year.  If I’m patient a day or two, WordPress will do it for me, and those of you who’ve put up with me all this time deserve better.  What I do want to do is to say a heartfelt thanks to all of you!  It’s been a good year for me and I have many reasons to count my blessings.  Please know that all of you out there number among them.

You probably don’t need to look very hard to realise that I’m sharing the beauty of my daughter’s tree.  The hand-made trimmings give it away.  It helps to keep her near to me.  Sentimental old fool!

Not all of us have had such a happy year, yet most of us are survivors.  One such lady, whose beautiful post this morning caught my eye, deserves some Christmas love.  I hope that you are all as prepared as you need to be to spend a joyful Christmas.

  1. What a beautiful tree Jo! Have very much appreciated your visits to my little corner of “Blogland” in 2015 and really enjoy reading your lovely posts too. I’ve been rather absent this past week – with our daughter back and Christmas preparations it’s been very hectic! Just on a break in between cooking Christmas Eve dinner – we have our main meal tonight and visitors are due very soon! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and many good wishes for the New Year plus many more hours of happy blogging! X 🙂

  3. Such a beautiful tree. 🙂

I was watching White Christmas the other evening and thought to myself, obviously the title song has rightly become the one best known but the song I actually love is “Count Your Blessings”. And then your post popped up. It’s a good theme for this time of year, I think. Many blessings to you and your family, Jo. 🙂

    1. I’ve just flopped in a heap! Tomorrow will have to do for the rest. So glad tis but once a year. 🙂 I don’t even do anything extravagant so why does it take so much time? Think I’d better put time management skills on my wish list next time 🙂 Thanks for your kindness and your company. Have a lovely Christmas!
