Something I always struggle to capture but can spend endless hours watching! Β Sea spray flying through the air. That’s ephemeral for me.

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Ephemeral.”

      1. It’s a series currently running. This week’s episode just finished. We recorded it because we’re both busy and will watch it shortly. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh, what a good idea! Didn’t even know you could! The only time I ever use the ‘record’ function on mine is by accident and then I’m cross! πŸ™‚ Aren’t you on the move soon, Meg? Or have you gone? I can’t keep up πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. I can’t keep up either. Son returned from Panama yesterday. Dziadek leaves for Warsaw on Sunday. I leave for ….somewhere … Cairns? on Monday. And I’m packing for six weeks in a Stanthorpe winter. Can’t have guests because all the beds and lounges are sorting stations.

  1. Beautiful Jo! We experienced our own crashing waves here today at the beach in San Diego! I never realized how beautiful it was here . Enjoying a wonderful Spring Break.

    1. I just keep optimistically snapping, Sammy. Eventually I get something half decent. Meg had the good idea to use video and ‘grab’ from that but I’ve never tried it. πŸ™‚

      1. It seems there are always too many choices and we feel inadequate not trying them all or taking recommendations from fellow bloggers. I get stressed by the options and overwhelmed with learning curves in a rapidly obsolete App world. Best for me to stick to KISS (keep it simple, stupid)

  2. I have to agree Jo ! Lovely …
Did you manage to get through the Three Musketeers I wonder … oh and the ironing πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ I’m not even sure when I took this one but it was in the marina folder when I filed the ‘reflections’ on Friday. My filing system definitely needs help πŸ™‚

  3. I could sit there, mesmerized by the sound and the brutal strength of the pounding of the waves and it is different each time. It is a show I could never get tired of.

    1. Thanks, Andrew! Pure fluke, I suspect πŸ™‚ I’ve spent the last couple of hours dashing around the blogs and must now go and do some work so I’ll catch you up later πŸ™‚

    1. I can’t remember if it was one of those moments when Mick was standing around shuffling his feet, Gilly πŸ™‚ I suspect it was! Thanks, darlin’. Happy Sunday!

      1. He’s off to work this morning and I’m doing Sunday lunch, ironing etc 😦 Will compensate by watching the 3 Musketeers while I iron πŸ™‚

  4. A gorgeous photo Jo. I could not see the photo in WP Reader but when coming to your site it shows up fine. I know this happened another time and just wanted to let you know.

    1. I just did a very swift entry on the Weekly Photo Challenge page, Sue (not at all like me- I usually dither about πŸ™‚ ). Maybe I was too quick for those guys? (or they just don’t like me (: ) Thanks for letting me know.

  5. This Jo is so fantastic! The atmosphere and light shining onto the spray makes for one of the seascape days that I hate to leave. Beautiful capture ~

    1. Whenever I go to the sea, Mary, I wonder why I’m not there more often. It entrances me. πŸ™‚ Not so much the husband and I recollect him trailing his feet that day! Thank you πŸ™‚

  6. Wonderful! I remember watching waves like this for hours in Tenerife many years ago. It’s a travel moment that has stayed with me all that time.
    Great post for Ephemeral

  7. Yes, Jo! This is such a great example of ephemeral and how precious it is that you waited to see this and then, sharing this with us, too. The black and white with the shining blue water and such pastel blue sky adds to this effect, Jo.

    1. Many thanks, Robin. Ephemeral has so many sad connotations and I wasn’t sure about posting this. But I love that flying water, and I can never quite capture what I see. πŸ™‚
