Six word Saturday

Could a week be more different?

Halloween, Algarve style

Halloween, Algarve style

You might wonder what a random bunch of Algarve kids are doing in my Six word Saturday. Lovely Colline in Toronto was kind enough to link a Halloween walk to my Monday walks feature. When I said I’d seen some small ‘trick or treaters’ whilst out walking in the Algarve, Colline, who is a teacher, said that she’d love to see them.  I thought that you might too.

Truthfully, it’s not been much of a week.  I’ve sniffled and snuffled my way through it, looking out of the window hopefully for blue skies, of which there have been few.  To be fair, we are clinging on to random bursts of Autumn colour, which I witnessed yesterday at t’ai chi, after a day of miserable rain.  The sun burst forth at teatime, just in time to set, and this morning a soupy grey fog is pushing up against the windowsill.  Soon I shall determinedly make my way out into it.  I’m tired of being cooped up.

But it’s not all doom and gloom.  I finally managed to activate my new smartphone last night and am looking forward to playing with Instagram (don’t hold your breath!).  Maybe my old friend will be waiting for me on that shoreline, refreshed from it’s swim.  Time will tell!

I'll look forward to next year's 'trick or treaters'

Meanwhile I’ll look forward to next year’s ‘trick or treaters’

Happy weekend to you all!  Don’t forget to visit Cate at Show My Face to share your Six word Saturday. I’ll be cosied up watching ‘Strictly’.  See you on Monday, for my walk!

    1. Great stuff, Sue 🙂 It’s looking bailfully at me from a side table right now but I’m ignoring it. I have to be in the right mood for technology 🙂
I had a grand time with the Autumn colours in the park this morning but was glad to get back in the warm. Do you still have snow?

    Leave Jo alone
    And let her roam

I had enough magic left from my Halloween witchery to help you out ( you’re lucky I’m a good witch) 😊

May we ALL see a little sunshine next week!

  4. I can see you’re not giving in Jo, but yes Strictly seems a very good idea .. I used to be mad about it …but I think that was when I was giving it a go at classes myself 😉

    1. I had hopes of getting the other half to bring me up Hexham way to kick the leaves about a bit, Robin, but I loitered in the park this morning and was frozen when I got back. I think it’s soup and Strictly 🙂 Lovely colours, though!

  5. Jo, I know how you feel about being cooped up. It’s been raining or spitting rain or cloudy for almost two weeks here now, and I’m really sick of it. I got out in the rain last week when I went to the museum, and I’m hoping to get out tomorrow too. Mostly I’m really hoping that it clears up by Wednesday because I have 5 days off and I’m heading up to the Longji Rice Terraces for 3 nights and to Guilin for one night. We’re just finishing up midterms and I will be so happy to get out of this place!

Those sea shells look really inviting right now! As does that empty beach. It’s waiting for both of us, I think. 🙂

      1. I’m leaving tomorrow for the rice terraces, Jo. I’m very excited! It turns out I handed in all my midterm marks yesterday, so I wish I had waited to buy my train tickets. I could have left today instead.

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well, Jo. I hope you’re better by now!! It must be a sign: you belong in Tavira. 🙂

    1. I haven’t felt good since I left, Suze. I’m definitely interpreting that as a sign. Wouldn’t you? 🙂 I’ll be a while before I get Instagrammed! I’m still fighting with texts 🙂 You know I’m an IT duffer!
