For many weeks I’ve been meaning to join Kan on her lovely series Joy is… This week she charmed me with her preparations for Diwali. I knew it was time to share with her what joy is for me. I know that she likes the simple things in life, and I hope that she loves beaches. This is my local one- the simple life for me.
Please do visit her at Kan Walk Will Travel. It’s a beautiful and joyous place. And looking back at this post, I think it might well qualify for Paula’s Thursday’s Special, in which she visits Lake Czorsztyn in Poland. I’ve been there so I know that it’s pretty special.
Absolutely! And you captured the essence of a pristine beach on a sunny day. Fab shots Jo. Hope the sun is smiling on you in Tavira 🙂

We surely do have a love of beaches in common, Jo. I love “your” beach. I love the pier, too. What a peaceful place to find retreat!

It was the loveliest of days, Debbie- in mid October too! Weatherwise we have no idea what’s coming next! Hard not to love a beach like this. 🙂

Such beautifully calm and tranquil captures. Just imagining myself there makes me calm already.

It’s not always so peaceful, Janaline, but this was a wonderful warm and precious day. Thanks for your company 🙂

The title of the post just says it all for me. Sometimes it amazes me that with the billions of people on the planet we can still find a stretch of beach with no one on it. Joy indeed!

I know, Jackie! But if you look at all that Australian coastline and the Americas…. 🙂

I thought it was weird when I was in Seattle recently and was taking pics through my phone camera; everything was more realistic through the lens. That was amazing for me. Keep shooting and sharing. vw

I agree wholeheartedly that joy is a beach and a blue sky. I am lucky that I live close to the sea and walking by it is, for me, especially when the sky is blue, one of life’s great simple pleasures. Lovely images. 😉

Thank you 🙂 I would find it hard to live somewhere inland, I think. Unless I had mountains and lakes 🙂

Don’t worry, hon. The Halloween ghosties have probably got me 🙂 I don’t use my Reader very much these days, Gem. By the time I return visits on comments and the Inbox another week has come around 🙂 Stay well and happy- no problems beyond that. I’ll find you 🙂
