The sight of Barril beach bar always lifts my spirits
It’s often the midpoint of one of my walks, or a place to linger when it’s too warm on the beach. Come, stroll with me around a few more Algarve windows. Just click on a photo and off we go.
There are plenty of places to linger in the Algarve
Nobody seems to mind here that the roof has fallen in!
These windows look like they’ve been around a long while too
I expect these are better on the inside!
Just as it should be!
Every window should have its own painting, don’t you think?
Or a chimney, like this
And there’s always a church!
The prettiest of street houses (from a strange angle because the owner was washing up at the sink!)
The perfect balcony to end the day

And as the light fades, the windows sparkle!
Thank you for indulging me again. There’s nothing I like better than a stroll in my Algarve streets. I know that Dawn’s windows will be completely different, and it’s time to take a look.

Looking at these photos it struck me how much like the Keswick and Kirkcudbright windows some of them are. Not the tiles of course, but the coloured masonry around the frames.

Makes our windows here look so very boring. I would like a pianist around a window or two. 🙂 I appreciate having a tour with you Jo.

I did a nice, safe, level walk beside the sea this morning, Sue, after I’d spent some time daydreaming over the Algarve. When are you away next? 🙂

Glad to hear there was no spontaneous rappelling down a cliff today. 🙂
The next major trip will be cycling in Italy in September. We plan to do some Canadian exploring as you are starting to see. However should an opportunity come along for far flung travel sooner my arm could definitely be twisted.

It can become an obsession, can’t it? I find my camera points at them automatically.

Interesting.. I shall look differently at windows from now on.

There is such variety, Viv! I have to say that many of our housing estate ones here in the north east are pretty boring, but you never know when you’ll find a beauty. 🙂
