The beginnings of an English Summer
Despite my head still being full of visions of Poland, my days are spent gazing at a very English landscape. Already this year I’ve had breakfast in the garden, one of my favourite aspects of Summer. It’s still only May, and a Bank Holiday weekend, so I shouldn’t be too despondent if the rain has arrived. There’s still plenty of promise, don’t you think?

Nice flower finds, Jo. The bottom is my favorite. Nice windmill shot too. According to my kids in the energy business, the top isn’t a windmill. It is a wind turbine. 🙂 (I’m still in London)

I know Jim, but turbine doesn’t sound half so poetic. 🙂

Could you leave the chocolate out of mine, please, Sue? I just like them plain with a little knob of butter 🙂

“The flamboyant grasses” – what a lovely phrase! And a beautiful prospect as well. That last flower shot is particularly superb, with its shades of amethyst? plum? lilac? grape? deep mauve? Why do I find colours impossible to name? And beautifully framed by the leaves. I’ve saved these two to savour on my off-day.
