I ‘heart’ this view!
This week, Jake was wondering if I have a place to relax. Well, for me that can only mean one thing. My roof terrace in the Algarve. I’m always in the mood for a swing.
- And if I get tired of swinging, there’s laid back Shell Beach
- Evening’s are nice and easy on the river bank.
I only have to look through the albums and it’s calling me back again. But for now I’m sharing my memories with you and Jake.
Do you have a place you go to when you need to relax, even if it’s only in your mind?

PS How did you shape those pictures?

Ulead Photo Express. As you know, I’m not adept at tech stuff and simply crop now and again. The ‘Trim’ option gives you a variety of shapes, which I seldom use, but now and again they’re effective. I guess they’d work well for your Haiku and such? 🙂

Thanks, Jo – I might have a go.

You have lots of beautiful places to go. My favourite relaxing lace is the bath with lots of hot water and bubbles and a good book.

I’m not averse to a bath and a book either, Viv 🙂 That is the one down side of my Algarve home- the hot water takes forever to run, so it’s usually a shower 🙂

Hi Tobyo 🙂 I use Ulead Photo Express if I need to crop anything (that’s about as clever as I get) and there’s an option to play with the shapes when you trim. I only use it now and again because it takes chunks out of your photo, but it can be quite effective.

Cool! I wonder if Picasa has that sort of thing. thanks for the info 🙂

Lovely places to relax, except for the beach with the anchors. I gotta ask, Jo, what’s with all the anchors? An art project?
LikeLike
The anchors are in the low lying dunes behind one of the best beaches in the Eastern Algarve, Iris. I don’t know how long they’ve been there but it’s all of the 10 years I’ve been going and more. I think it’s a tribute to the fishermen who used to work these shores in numbers. 🙂

When I want to relax, I keep going back in my mind to my trip last summer through Spain and Portugal, and to my trip the year before to Greece. I think I belong on the Mediterranean. I have fond memories of your roof terrace and your hammock, Jo. Oh, how I wish I was born European. 🙂
