Barcelona- a feast for the senses!
I’ve been overwhelmed by all your birthday messages and good wishes, and would simply like to say thank you to my wonderful blogging friends. I will be slow getting back to you as I have a zillion things to do and 600+ photos to sort through. I just wanted to let you know that Barcelona fully lived up to expectations, and to share a few thoughts.
But you know what the finale is, don’t you? Never have I been more in awe of a piece of architecture! It is magnificent!
Expect to be bored lots more in the coming days! I had the BEST time.
Thanks as always to Cate for letting me abuse Six word Saturday. The links or header will take you there to join in the fun.

Fabulous photos of Barcelona! The architecture is awesome.

Fabulous photos of Barcelona – I’m looking forward to seeing more of them. I was last in Barcelona when I was 14 (longer ago than I care to remember!) and don’t think I appreciated it as much as I should have.
Happy Birthday!

Wow, what an amazing place, and such beautiful photos too. The ship’s design makes me smile too! Here is the link to my 6WS post, so it might be easier to get to. Not sure why Blogger or Google has to interfere with so much! http://twincitiesblather.blogspot.com/2013/11/six-word-saturday-9-november-2013.html

It hasn’t changed much since I was there. Now I wonder how come I skipped that posh loo!!!

El Quatre Gats- allegedly a Picasso haunt. A friend said I had to go to the loo, so I did! It was a little ragged round the edges, but I don’t mind that. The restaurant was lovely 🙂

I will have to make a note of that. I am absolutely obssessed with loos and I usually come out either disgusted or yelling, very few times was I pleasantly surprised. How was the food at El Quatre Gats?

Park Guel was so full of people that it was difficult to see anything, so we gave up and went and drank coffee in a pretty square.

Yes, Richard- diabolical isn’t it? There are a few entrances so you might get away with it, but it was probably the best 7 euros I ever spent. 🙂
