Time to see RED? Not really!
If you asked me what my favourite colour is, I’d probably say red. But when I look back through my photos I find that they are predominantly blues. Often the reds are a wine colour, like the leaves from my Virginia Creeper, above. Or I’ve used the red as an accent colour, like my favourite dress, which is white with deep blue and red flowers on.
I can have endless arguments with my husband about colour, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s all beautiful, isn’t it? No need to see red at all!
Thanks for humouring me this Saturday. Hope your weekend sparkles, whatever shade it is. Many thanks to Cate at Show My Face. Hope she’s feeling better this week. Do click on the logos or the link to join in.
I can’t choose between red or blue either!

Thanks, Pomme 🙂 Right now I’m looking at a red Autumn sunrise. There have been some beauties this week. The clocks changed at the weekend but my body clock doesn’t, so I’ve seen more than my share of them. Lovely though 🙂

Thank you for your kind thoughts, Ventis. The storm passed us by quietly. I think my friends in Scandinavia are in the eye of the storm right now.
On Sunday I am going to Barcelona (to celebrate my birthday). I will be “on guard” against el toro. 🙂

LOTS of warnings, Madhu. It blew all my lovely red leaves away but no damage here. I think Vivi has it all in Scandinavia 😦
I’ll have a hunt- maybe there’s a photo of it somewhere. 🙂

Who doesn’t love red …. why haven’t your added a photo of your dress … would have loved to see it. Great gallery as always, Jo.
Thanks for sending the storm over here … we are just under the spell of it. Scary.
Hope you’re okay in the storm.

The storm missed us! We just had a lot of rain and a little wind. You must have my share! Blow it back 🙂
I don’t think I have a photo of that dress. It lives in Tavira these days, in the sunshine. Hugs, hon. I loved your new horizons 🙂

Okay … otherwise you could have just taken a photo of the material.
Thanks, Jo … I was going to send you my profile name on SKYPE so we can have a … good talk sometimes. *smile

Ok. Haven’t set up an account or whatever it is you do on there because I’ve never used it. Polish family and friends in the Algarve have asked if I have Skype and I always say no. I’m funny like that. I know this (on the blog) is a rather public way to chat. I prefer email but who has time these days. Cooking “breakfast” for my son. Back soon. 🙂

What a smashing collection of reds! I enjoyed them all but that Riva del Garda one really got me, I could feel the heat.

It seems to’ve passed us by. Yesterday was blustery but that’s all. Never mind, I’ve nearly finished my next Polish A-Z post. 🙂

Glad to hear you’re still in one piece. I like stormy days, they’re a good excuse for battening down the hatches and cosseting yourself.

Thanks, Gem 🙂 I can’t vouch for their icecream! We went to another icecream parlour, 3 or 4 doors down. I guess they like icecream in Seaham.

You’re right. All colors are equally great, but blue is most equal among them. And among all blues two are special: that of the ipomoea tricolor, and the ultramarine, which is not blue anyway.

Red was always my favourite colour as a child, though yellow took over as I grew older……..both warm cheerful colours though.
I’ve just looked at the majority of my pics, and blue is the most dominant colour too…….may be something to do with my love of blue skies though 😉

I love red but I also love blue, red invigorates me and the vivid nature of it always gets my attention, blue is my calming colour and appears more en masse in my life. Lisa’s red hair is stunning and photographs well but bright red flowers and other really red objects never appear quite the same in my photographs 🙂
