Whiter than white- the theme continues.

Will I ever tire of seeing this frock?
Lisa tells me that she’s worn it three times so far, including once at Carnival in Venice. That’s not bad going for a wedding dress, is it? I’ve been dusting off a few white memories myself.

- How lovely is this dahlia? It’s a huge bloom!
- If you click on a photo below it will start the gallery rolling.

The simple beauty of wild cistus on the hillsides of Portugal.
Beautifully framed white doors.
Who’s whiter than Snoopy? (and do you remember Flat Ruthie?)

The white village of Sanlucar de Guadiana, on the River Guadiana

Side saddle and elegant whites.

Speaking of elegance, I did love Chania in Crete
Wall niches in the Algarve.
My delicate white hellebore
Our garden last Winter (I hear there’s going to be lots more soon?) Dreading it!
Can anything beat a rose for loveliness- even a fading one? (like my memories)
I’ve become a person of few words on Saturdays. Have you noticed? My husband loves the peace and quiet, but more than that, it seems to fit better with Cate’s challenge. Thanks for indulging me.

Jo, I’ve always loved the crisp, cleanness of white – sheets, walls, flowers. It seems to scream “potential” and whisper “contentment.” 🙂 Your photos say it all. ~Terri

There were a group of about six dahlias, Gem, and I think that together they probably were as big as your car. Nice way to go to work 🙂

There she is again – a great start to a really well done post. The photos are lovely all together, with white running through but not necessarily dominating. It’s actually a very colorful post!

Many thanks for your appreciation and time, Lynn. I like the way the white 6WS header slides into her red hair and then the white gown, and I play with the gallery till I get the effect I want. Sometimes it works better than others 🙂

That is a massive Dahlia bloom…beautiful! I love white, but it never fails, when I wear white to work I get ink or some kind of stain. Thanks for sharing these fantastic photos, Jo. I love the dress, but I think my favorite is the horse in the hat! He looks like he’s saying, “What! You’ve never see a horse wear a hat!” 🙂

He wears it with such distinction, doesn’t he, Jill? 🙂 I’m hopeless with white personally but I do like to wear it (once, before it goes in the wash!)

I was amazed by the dahlias, Viv. There were half a dozen equally stunning ones in a front garden as I walked home last Saturday. Too cold and miserable to go shooting flowers this week, but there’s still Strictly! Fabulous, wasn’t it? 🙂
