Six word Saturday

And ten in Portugal with Michael

Following on from my last Six word Saturday, my feet have just about touched the ground and it’s Michael’s turn for a holiday.  Lucky me gets to go too, of course!

Dad is still in Poland, sitting in Uncle Jakub’s garden if it’s sunny, and playing dominos.  While I know he’s in good hands, it seems like a good time to escape for a little sunshine of our own.  If you’ve seen O is for okropny and the Ojcow Valley you’ll know the weather wasn’t always kind in Poland.

I’ll be sharing more Polish tales on my return but for now it’s back to my postcard collection.

Exactly why I love the Algarve so- pretty as a picture.

I'll soon be strolling in the riverbank gardens again.

And you know my evenings will be spent beside this bridge.

Not hard to see what keeps taking me back, is it?  And I haven’t even mentioned the beaches!

I’m catching up with as many of you as I can before I leave tomorrow evening.  It’s Mother’s Day isn’t it, so have a good one!  I’ll be frantically cooking, ironing and restocking the freezer for our son, but what a lovely present tomorrow evening will bring.  Take care, all!

Thanks Cath for hosting Six word Saturday.  Don’t forget to check out the other entries on Show My Face.  Just click on the header or the link.

      1. Just realised that I got the last hello, goodbye, the wrong way round. Plans….yes, we are off to the good old US of A in three weeks time. New York first then touring around Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and finishing up in Washington, DC. Have a nice holiday

    1. Have to agree with you, Gem. Sometimes I look at a postcard and think “not sure why I bought you” (usually I’d run out of postcards for my travel “diary”). Definitely not the case with that one. 🙂

    1. It’s the way it worked out, Christine. We would usually be in Portugal round about now, but Dad wanted to go to Poland at the same time. I haven’t seen one of the aunties and uncles for 2 years and they’re not getting younger. Neither is Dad,of course, and I felt compelled to go with him. 🙂

    1. These are postcards, Ann. When I was doing my Greek series I loaded some online and it seemed a good idea to use a few before I go back to Tavira for more photos. 🙂

      1. Your offerings, your blog, is always so beautiful. It is always like a mini-vacation, places I will never see. I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear.

      2. You’re very kind, Ann. I only made the comment because I don’t want anyone to think I’m taking credit for something I haven’t done. Happy weekend to you! 🙂

  2. 🙂 I envy you, Jo ~~ We’ve never been to Algarve and probably won’t. We have been to several of the Portugese Canary Islands and to the French and Italian Riviera and the Spanish coast from Gilbtrlter to Barcelona, but not Algarve. Lisbon is on our ‘list.’

Enjoy, have fun, play in the sand with Hubby, and TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!!!
