Once again it’s a privilege to take part in Jakesprinter’s weekly challenge. As I pointed out to Jake, I’m a water sign, so this one’s irresistible.
So, I’m going to take you from the mountains to the sea, and where better to do that than Portugal?
What could be lovelier, or more essential, than water? I can’t imagine my life without it.
Many thanks to Jake for the opportunity to share these photos. I hope you like them, and I’d be delighted to see yours if you decide to join in. You can view all of the entries and instructions for joining the challenge at Jakesprinter Sunday Post. Hope to see you there.

Beautiful!

A few of your photos reminded me of my hol last year: yes I jumped off the rope swing into the bottom of the waterfall at Pego do Inferno (not bad for a forty year old!). My kids jumped right from above the waterfall (they are fearless). Also went canoeing down the river at Odeceixe, the four of us crammed onto the canoe, bit scary as it was so quiet, only cows and jumping fish to keep us company and we didn’t know where we would end up! Cath.

Odeceixe is a lovely spot, Cath. I’d love to see more of that “wild” western coast. (I’m working on it!) Well done you- I just watched.

We go up a lot to Aljezur and that area, love it! There’s some good camping spots too so you can make a short break of it. The unfortunate thing this year will be the tolls on the A22 spoiling our fun!

Lately I’m losing a little enthusiasm on writing my blog; mainly because it’s so hot outdoors (around 46 now) that I can’t get motivated to do ANYTHING! I just want to lie around and be lazy!! But I need to get back to blogging more… I feel lost when I don’t do it. You are really inspiring me to go to Portugal; a plan is gelling in my mind to go there, Spain and Morocco next year. I want to see all the Moorish influences. Did I already tell you this?? I’m getting forgetful now….. 🙂

It’s possibly my favourite beach. No, I can’t say that in public- it’s disloyal to Tavira! Thanks!
