Guarding, or groundless? I think probably both. This handsome chap lives in a back street behind the salt processing factory. I’m sure he’d like to leap clear of that fence and gallop away. I thought Paula might like him, even though I’m a little late..
Lovely!

An interesting photo, Jo. Reading through the comments, everyone is asking about the empty space. In case you are a little curious, I used to live in Whitehorse, Yukon. The entrance to Whitehorse has a similar looking horse. You can google if you are curious.π

I too am curious about the empty space in the middle of the sculpture. I see in a previous comment you have asked about the origin. I’ll be intrigued to know if you receive an answer Jo.

Not so far, Sue. It’s a cement company called Silva & Silva and I’ve had no response from them yet. Nothing helpful on Google. Maybe one of the owners is a Ferrari fan- who knows? π π But I like it! (I was a Ferrari fan too- back in the Schumacher days)

Quite the springy horse. I love the contrast between its organic forms and the geometric forms in the rest of the photo. And the bit of sky opening up in the middle of the horse.

Looks a bit that way, doesn’t it? At a cement factory! I have asked π π Seems the same style as the metal stork on the chimney, if you remember that?

I couldn’t track any details down last time. I’ve asked the company but don’t know if they’ll respond. Becky’s better at this than me π

Nice statue. The hole in the middle is intriguing. I wonder if it’s meant to represent something?

I’m glad he’s found an admirer in you and that you have introduced him to your many followers. He’s gorgeous and deserves to leap over that fence and find freedom. Must be a story there and you must find it. Either about the horse, or more likely, about the sculptor.
