Birthday tea party

A very special person had a significant birthday this week. I know my daughter celebrated in style and, in our more modest fashion, we paid homage to Valentine’s day. Cake is for sharing, isn’t it? And who better to share with than lovely Su.

    1. She’s more golden these days, and somewhat harassed workwise- you know that feeling!- but she had a week off work and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, sweetheart! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  1. Oh my what a yummy looking cake and scones, one of my favourite indulgences lathered in jam and cream. Wishing your daughter a happy and healthy year Jo and hoping you can soon have a get together

    1. She had planned to be in Venice, Su, so I wouldn’t have seen her this week, but sometime soon. Thankfully the cake conspiracy was a big success. Her husband doesn’t drive so best friend had to be in on it too πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. I’m not a cake maker or eater because both my husband and I have to stay away from sugar, but once in a while when we party, I give permission to myself to have fun. This is a fun cake, Jo. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. If I had, I’d have had to ship it to the UK from Portugal. My talents don’t run in that direction at all. What talents, I ask myself? My daughter inherited most of hers from her grandma πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
