Arbutus Unedo, the strawberry tree, starts to produce its fruit in Autumn. A cluster of tiny bell shaped flowers appear first, and then the berries, which are used to make a fiery spirit, medronho. Use the slider to see both, in this, my penultimate KindaSquare. Becky has some lovely thoughts to share today. Don’t miss them!
This fruit looks like a Lychee fruit. Only lychees have a reddish-brown skin color. Great post!

There is a similarity. Medronho don’t really have much taste but distilled they can blow your head off! Not really recommended, but they’re pretty 🙂 🙂 Thanks for your company!

I’m not at all familiar with this unusual fruit. I am definitely intrigued. 🙂

It doesn’t have a lot of taste, Debbie, but it’s lethal when you distill it 🙂 🙂
