There seem to be one or two vacancies, if you have a head for heights. But somebody has to mind the baby.
I know there are people out there who will be disappointed, but honestly, 30 days of cake? Whatever happened to weekend treats? Becky will like this one. The rest of you will just have to wait. You’re as bad as my husband! 🙂 ##SquareTops

That’s some kind of a balancing act

Those storks remind me a lot of Poland and Romania!

We have lots and lots of storks in Latvia too. And some of the places where they choose to build their nests are truly unbelievable! I loved early summer mornings and seeing storks in nearby feelds looking for frogs, I could watch them for hours.

There are certain roads where the nests are every few yards. Causes hazardous driving sometimes 😊💕

Feeling grizzly, Jo….you certainly had a rant there….

So are the poles for the nests man-made specifically for the nests? A great sight. One I have not seen. I suspect there will be a lot of stork visits nine months from now…

You could be very right 🤣🤣. There are lots of poles for overhead wires in the countryside here. A menace for photos sometimes but the storks put them to good use 💕

I sure wouldn’t want to get shoved out of that nest! Great shots, Jo! Enjoy your day. 🙂

Another great square, Jo. I can see this top theme works well for you.
You’ve caught that room so well – not a position I’d choose for my own home, but can’t complain about the view

No good unless you have a decent pair of wings, Debs 🤣🤣. Thanks, darlin!

This came up at the same time as Jonno’s comment and the 2 got muddled. Sorry, Brian! Still a terrible comment 🙂 🙂

Oh, I love this! Spotting the occasional stork in Spain camping on telegraph posts always made my day. Thank you!

There are several country roads here where they line the roads, Margaret, and we gape in awe whenever we see them. This was a lucky sighting the other day, but there are lots of them here at present. 🙂 🙂

Give me a stork any day! But then we don’t have them here. King parrots, rosellas, brown pigeons, butcher birds, sacred kingfishers yes. Storks no!

We could maybe arrange a swap, Meg? Just for the day, of course! No messing with Ma Nature 🙂 🙂

Thank you! I had to do a bit of cropping because it wasn’t easy to get close and there are overhead cables across many of the fields. The birds don’t mind, of course 🙂 🙂
