They will never hold the rain!
Not that there’s much need for them round here, but they do work well for Becky’s Lines and Squares. She’s playing with Pooh Bear today, and Debbie’s riding around on a bus, in Six Words, of course. Why not join them? And have a great Saturday!

They may not be practical but these brollies are quite lovely.

I couldn’t reach one, in any case, Carol. They were suspended quite high 🙂 🙂

I consider umbrellas a sign of optimism in Australia! I bought a beautiful rainbow one about 5 years ago to have in my car for emergencies. Needless to say it is still brand new, in its plastic wrapper! One day closer to rain… Mel

We have one that lives in the car, too, Mel, and one in the pantry. Neither get much use 🙂 🙂

Wow, those are lovely! I could have used one during my trip to France, but walking through the forest doesn’t lend itself well to such fancy rain gear. Happy weekend, Jo.

Gorgeous umbrellas 🙂 I love the first one, it must have taken ages to get it like that. There were some bright plain coloured ones hanging above an alley in Dublin, part of a project to brighten the place up and to encourage people not to vandalise it.

The first one’s my favourite. We have plain coloured ones in a few places too but these are fun. 😘☔🌫️💕

Those are beautiful, Jo! Much too nice to take out during a storm…perhaps in a light rain shower. 🙂

Far too beautiful for rain! 😀 I adore them all and particularly like the crocheted ones… very unusual. Was this part of festival display? Happy Weekend, Jo! 😀🌺

No, they were just hanging around, if you’ll excuse the pun, Annika. 🙂 🙂 Inside our old market.

what fun . . . is there a reason or pure whimsical?

Just whimsy, I think! Some were obviously child-related or done by youngsters, but the information boards in the Mercado related to something entirely different. Typical, really 🙂 🙂

First time I saw umbrellas hanging up was in Turkey, love the fun creative way to use them. We actually don’t do that in NZ in spring we need to use them 🙂 Fun and colourful post, Jo.
