I know! I didn’t go and give the salesman an ear bashing, but fortunately he wasn’t selling many. Mine would have had to live in the sink, but I was very tempted. Good entertainment, though. 🙂 🙂

He’s blue, but not in the sense of being sad, and they are certainly happy-makers! Did someone just leave them all on the beach? Not sure if I can completely enjoy the happy whimsy if they’re going to float off eventually to become plastic waste, but they do make me smile.

There was a guy selling them on the beach, Janet, but he seemed more interested in playing than selling. I was half tempted, but sense got the better of me. 🙂 🙂

Really fun! There is a German children’s book about a colony of penguins which a single penguin of a different kind wants to join. It is hilarious (also educational, as many children’s books are) with the male penguins watching over their eggs while swapping typically male stories. In the end, of course, they accept the different one. Your photos would be the perfect illustration.

Such cute little balloon ducks along the shore. They all look very happy under the sun. Or maybe they were just happy to see you, Jo. Lovely to see you walking around, Jo. Happy weekend.. Here in Australia we are pretty much half done with the weekend lol 😀

Very cute Jo! Hope all’s ok with you. Back online now – my computer has been very temperamental recently wish I was a bit more computer savvy. Life busy here but all well – just been sorting out flights for Mlle at Christmas looks like her work can spare her for a month so she can do some rehab in the sun for her poor knee! I haven’t actually planned Christmas yet at all Jo! Despite my best intentions it always seems a rush at the end and we have to juggle with our other daughter and grandkids here as she has her in laws to see as well! Good luck! 🙂

These are cute. Must look funny bobbing around in your warm waters. Or do you get the real thing too? Our little blue penguins occasionally venture beyond the beach and can be seen on surrounding streets.

I’m not sure how we’d ever get them back if they took to the high seas, Su. Probably another dreadful misuse of plastic, but they did make me smile. No penguins in these parts 🙂 🙂

😀 I get that. There are so many little things that do make us happy but are environmentally bad (balloons being my favourite). It’s tough being responsible adults (or so I’m told 😉)
