Is it ok to spoon here?
Spoonbills seem to love this patch of the Algarve, rich in algae as it is. I do too, and the interesting Shadows it creates.
Some of us have seen better days! This is my 300th Six word Saturday. Maybe time to retire gracefully?

Haha… nice pun with the many meanings of ‘spoon’. 😀

I’m amazed at how reliable you are in posting regularly, Jo. The relic of a beached ship is a very interesting focal point. I would imagine there are all sorts of living things relying on that old wood. Maybe that’s another part of the metaphor for some of us who are in a different stage of life. I like to focus on what’s ahead, but I also admit I’m very good at telling myself the story I need to hear at any given time. 🙂 Keep sharing as long as it’s enjoyable, because we really enjoy seeing your photos and sharing in your adventures, Jo.

Thanks, Debbie. 🙂 🙂 I’m just putting the finishing touches on tomorrow’s walk. No rest for the wicked 🙂 I do enjoy putting the posts together but I’m not as rigorous with the follow up as I once was. There’s a life out there, right?

300! Goodness that’s amazing. I’ve only done about 90. i read your comment about being a words girl, I was too when I began blogging, now I hardly write anything anymore, I’ve just started the Artists Way to try to kick start my writing again, because I miss it but have become so stuck it’s crazy 🙂
Hope you’re okay my lovely x 🙂 x

It’s grey this afternoon, Cathy, but we walked this morning and had friends round for coffee afterwards. Just waiting to Skype James now 🙂 🙂

Always okay to spoon Jo, anywhere! Oh and don’t even think of retiring. You’ve got years left on the clock.

We’ve watched them countless times, Emma, and I’m no birder. They seem to love it there, and who can blame them? 🙂 🙂

300? That’s – 6 years worth? Astonishing! I’m curious now about “other things to do”. Not so jealous of your water today because I’m back near my ocean. But my son could do with it – his 500 acre block is at the mercy of fire if the wind changes,

Hello, darlin 🙂 🙂 Yes, I suppose so. Blog’s been running over 7 years and it was one of the first themes to lure me in. Nice to have you back in Spud. I can picture you better there. No end to the hot, dry season? 😦 I shall wish for an enormous deluge of rain.

What gloriously peaceful scenes you have for us this week, Jo. I’d be sad to see you stop here but I understand if you feel the need for a change.

It’s been fun, Carol, but there are other things I want to do. But then, another week comes around and up pop six words. 🙂 🙂 Thanks, darlin!

My six pleading words here. I do follow you and get every one of your SIX WORDS via Yahoo Mail. But I quit SWS way back. If I ever get caught up with life I will start again.

Sounds a bit rude to me, but maybe spooning means something different in Hartlepool. Lovely blue photos once again, I wonder if you will ever get tired of blue! And I agree with Debs – 500 is a much better number to retire on. After all 6 words and a photo is the least you can give all your loyal followers. 💕😁🤞

I went wild this week with 3 photos, Jude. One of them was purely for Sue’s benefit. 🙂 🙂 You must have had the odd cuddle when you were young? Pretty innocent stuff.

Cuddle yes, but never called it spooning 😉

No, no, no. Please don’t retire from SWS, your photographs are always so worth looking at and without text one sometimes has more time to dwell on them.

Strange though it may seem, Mari, I am very much a words person. The photos came along quite late in the adventure for me. 🙂 🙂 And I don’t know quite how to stop…

I love watching spoonbills! Last time I saw them in the wild must have been years ago, either in Florida or Texas. And, that blue sky! You always get me there, Jo. 🙂 300 Six Word Saturdays?!?! Wow! They are a lot of fun, but gracefully retiring is fun as well.
