I’ve never seen white broom but if it’s fragrant i’d love it. At first I though you were joking about the ‘mountain’ but it really is salt?

Yes, salt ready for processing, Gilly. Flor do sal is a good seller here and so tasty. The broom has a tiny dark pink centre. Fab! 💕 xx

What a magnificent photo, my friend. Hope your weekend is pleasant. Mine’s over: a solitary lunch at a winery where waitress and chef are both friends of my daughter. No wine though, because I was driving and I’m a quick and thorough responder to small amounts of alcohol.

I think it’s Retama monosperma, so think you’re ok as that means it is native! If it is the other name is bridal broom 😊
