Has anyone dropped a stitch lately?

On the bleakest of Winter days, I still couldn’t resist a little yarn bombing, this time at Saltholme Nature Reserve.
The animals came in 2 by 2
Noah’s Ark
Worms! Where’s the worms?
Let’s just huddle together!
It’s a good day for us bugs
Let’s have a party!
I’m an eye catcher
Not as pretty as me!
I’m the elegant one
An invite to an ugly bug ball?
I’m on the lookout
Just something small for me
I’m a little sleepy
I’m a bit prickly today
He’s always bad tempered, isn’t he, Mum?
Let me round those sheep up!
We’re coming!
The details are amazing, aren’t they? I couldn’t see a dropped stitch anywhere. I had to keep on the move too, because it was SO cold!

Are you talking to me?
Pick a carrot! Any carrot…
The incredible Mr. Toad
And Ratty, of course!

It wouldn’t be complete without a tea party, would it? (Hover over the smaller photos to see the captions, or click to view them in a gallery). Have a great weekend, whatever the weather, and don’t forget to join Debbie with six words.

These are the best yet and a great antidote to the post Christmas lights blues. I love the dragonfly and the wading bird. And yes, I dropped some stitched today and had to rip out three rows. Good job it’s just little fingerless gloves!

I used to hate dropping a stitch! 🙂 🙂 That wading bird was so lifelike, strutting along the fence. I liked the collie too 🙂

Haha… I see what you mean now about the ark 😀 We have been without broadband most of the day so got stuck in with making a curry. The figures are amazing, but don’t they get ruined being outdoors?

It’s amazing how well they survive. We’ve not had much rain. More frost, and incoming ‘wintery precipitations’ for tomorrow, according to the forecast. Good phrase! We’ve just had chicken curry, when Mick got back from ‘the match’. 🙂 🙂 Hibernation with tennis for definite tomorrow.

We have had nothing but rain. And wind. And rain. Damp conservatory again 😦

We are getting a new roof, but obviously not until spring and better weather. I don’t want to spend money now when it will be ripped off, but it is becoming very wearying. Sigh…

In place of the trip to the Scilly’s, or is that still happening? 🙂

No, this was planned from buying the house. I have a ‘house’ budget which is nothing to do with holidays 🙂

The children were muffled up to the eyes, Sally, because it was bitter. It’s a very open tract of marshland. The real birds were in hiding. 🙂 🙂

oh these are such fun . . . .so glad you coped with the cold to capture all of these for us. I would have wanted to bring some home though, just to warm them up of course!

You’re not the first to think that, hon. 🙂 🙂 I had a hopeful eye on a hot chocolate in the cafe but it was not to be. 😦 Tea was in the slow cooker.

Thank you, bold, intrepid woman, for braving the cold. This is surely one very BIG star in the yarn bombing firmament of knitting and pearling and psso.

These are absolutely brilliant and so cute it’s hard to pick any favourites but I just love the little black and white sheep and the pink upside down bat. I wonder if any of them get stolen though if they are left there for a week or more? – I’m sure it would be very tempting as they are all so adorable and so very well done. And I hate to think of the poor things left out in the rain 😦 All credit to the knitters/crocheters who made them 🙂

Oh my these are just too adorable. I particularly like the little hedgehogs and the bird looking for worms. But even more, I love how your humor shows through in your placement of all these soft and colorful little creatures!
