I’m starting to see squares everywhere!
From dusk till dawn. All part of life’s rich pattern. Have you joined in with Becky’s Square Sky in December yet? There’s still time. Maybe you could combine it with Six Words? Debbie won’t mind. Happy Saturday, whatever you get up to!

I’m late to the party and trying to catch up, so no time to read all the comments, which is usually half the fun. I especially love that first shot, with the light on the wing tip. Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Thanks a lot, Pauline 🙂 🙂 That last one was on our way to the bus station the morning we traveled up to Lisbon.

Absloutely fantastic pictures, Jo, of gorgeous skies! 🙂 As to the first one: don’t you think you could sell that to Ryan Air? Well, knowing how miserly their CEO is, you might not get much – if anything – out of it. So, let’s just admire that sky and your photographic skills here.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Pit

Should I put it on a Christmas card and send it to him, Pit? I might get a discount next flight. 🙂 🙂 Thanks so much, hon. Having a good weekend?

Amazing photos and selection, Jo. I could see them hanging on a (square) wall.

Maybe the last one, Liesbet 🙂 🙂 It’s a favourite of mine. I do have a small framed day time shot of the bridge.

😀 I’m good, Jo, just a bit weary …. Anyway, just sitting down now and smelling my Carbonnade de Boeuf which is simmering away in the Slow Cooker, a lovely dish on a chilly winter night!

Sounds good. We’ve just scoffed a chillied mince, use up your veggies kind of dish. No Cordon Bleu around here 🙂 Have a hug and an easy day tomorrow.

I haven’t cooked Carbonnade for quite some years, and had some beer left from a fish dish, so I thought why not? (From this, you will suss that I like my food, but honestly it’s usually fairly basic!)

Hello darlin! 🙂 🙂 So good to hear from you! How are things in ‘the neighbourhood’? The TV coverage has shown how horrific the fires have been. Are you still a nomad?
LikeLike
Yes, I am still a nomad, but there is no better place for a displaced person to be than in Tiburon California on the water’s edge. We should be able to move back by spring, if everything proceeds well. A delight, Jo, thanks so much.

The light you caught on the Ryanair wing is fabulous, I have something similar somewhere. But my favourite image is the last one, with the sun setting and the lights coming on. Looks so tranquil. I can imagine sitting at a café, outside, sipping a glass of wine and looking at that scene. You sound like a very busy bee. A day for reminiscing with the family and sharing memories of your lovely dad. Not too much cake though, we wouldn’t want you to overdo it.

I’m home again with a fried egg sarnie and a cup of coffee 🙂 🙂 That last shot was just after 7 in the morning, as we headed for the bus station and Lisbon. Thank you for the kind words. It was a lovely service in a stunning old church I’ve never been in before. Freezing cold though 🙂

Ooh, ages since I had a fried egg sarnie! I did wonder of the last shot was a sunrise. OK so it will have to be coffee and a Pastel de nata or two then. Churches are always cold. Hope you were wearing your long johns 🙂

I would have liked a photo or 2 because it was such an interesting church but it seems disrespectful with a service going on. (and I didn’t have my camera 😦 ). Might see if I can find it on Google.

A fine combo of square skies and 6WS, Jo, and posted under adversity by the sound of it. So sorry about the techno-nightmare. When things go wrong, they far are more than the sum of their parts, and spread all over the place. I’m still getting over the changes wrought by my PC being killed by a microsoft 10 update, and then having to have a new one…Good luck!

Awe-inspiring, Jo! 😀😀 Nature is so beautiful it just lifts the soul! I love the pictures from the plane…no need for magazine, kindle or anything else, just pure enjoyment watching the sunrise (I think). I liked the design of the square windows against the sun, very well done! Hope you have a lovely weekend,my friend! ❤️

That square windows shot is one of my favourite places in the Algarve. Eventually I’ll get around to posting about it. 🙂 Thank you! I have a church service this morning and a quick visit to the cemetery and hopefully coffee with family. Take care! 🙂 🙂

Beautiful skies enroute to Portugal. What a treat and lucky you got a window seat. They are the best and I don’t get why some people would rather have the aisle to stick out their leg 🙂 🙂 Wishing you a wonderful weekend of walking and looking forward to reading more about that soon 🙂
