You can’t beat a good castle!
No, you haven’t done something funny to the screen! This is Beaumaris Castle, in black and white. I rather like it, but then, I liked the original too. I’m a bit vain like that! It’s just that I desperately wanted to join in Paula’s Black and White Sunday, Traces of the Past and I’m running out of time.
So I’ve combined it with Debbie’s Six Word Saturday. I’m sure Debs won’t mind. She knows I can’t count. Just as Paula knows I can’t resist a little bit of colour. Doesn’t the castle have a stunning outlook? The geology of Anglesey is fascinating too.
Enjoy your Easter weekend!

What incredible photos! I love the black and white castle! Thanks for sharing.

It really turned out nicely in B&W, better contrast, more visible detail. Jo, thank you 🙂

You can’t indeed beat a good castle! I lost track of how many times I’ve been to the UK, yet I have never went outside London. It’s like going to the beach and never leaving the towel 🙂 -Verne

Really? You absolutely need to put that right 🙂 🙂 The south coast is an easy trip, though it’s not my home turf.

If there is one thing that Wales is not short of and that is castles! I really must get around to posting my castle images. I have one or two, but not this one. Interestingly your last image (which is rather nice), reminded me of a similar shot of a lagoon in South Africa! Great sea glitter!

Amen, sister! When we took our three boys to Europe when they were 5,8 and 11, I remarked that a castle was a boy’s natural playground. Tunnels, battlements, towers…. we all loved it! Pity we don’t have any here. (Apart from the pretend Kryal Castle. lol) I love both the colour and black and white photos. Hope you have a lovely Easter, Jo. 🙂

Now that you mention it… Most of Easter is being taken up with building my own ‘castle’. Otherwise known as a she-shed. 🙂

You’ve done the castle proud, Jo. The place where we stay on Anglesey, is up the hill behind the castle, so it’s a familiar spot. And there’s the Menai Strait doing its glittering best, and a few scraps of snow in the mountains. Lovely.

I was a bit cross, Tish, because I’d promised myself a good snoop round the little town after our walk. You may remember from last week’s walk that a certain dog didn’t want to walk beside this particular bay. I had to snatch what shots I could and depart. 😦 But still, I’ve seen it, and it was a very nice bit of glitter. 🙂 🙂 Thank you, and happy Easter! Allotment or family stuff?

You are right. A beautiful castle is a beautiful castle, even if admired from afar. Looks like a lovely walk around it. Beach looks very relaxing 😊 Happy Easter if you celebrate it, Jo 🐰🐣🍫😊 I don’t but am enjoying the long weekend. Pity under the weather, though 😷🤧😑🍫🍫😂

We attempted the walk along the bay with a collie dog but the tide was in and very swishy. I loved it but the dog didn’t 😦 Thanks, Mabel. Hope you’re fit and well soon. 🙂 🙂
