Florence from your lens at night looks spectacular. These familiar outdoor sights take on a broader meaning when seen from your lens Jo. Thanks for sharing!

It IS spectacular, Gabe, and charged with atmosphere. 🙂 Like all good things my time there passed very swiftly, but it was fabulous!

It’s a beautiful city, isn’t it? I was fortunate enough to win a trip to Florence through a travel writing competition… and afterwards I wrote and sold a travel article about the city, so it holds an extra-special place in my heart. 🙂

Omg only 3 days in this beautiful city. But no doubt you will return!? You know, Jo and I used to sit opp. The statue of David in the evenings and just “watch the world go by”😊

You have managed to share this absolutely beautiful city with us in such a delightful way. It appears that the crowds have given the city over to just you and a few others. Lovely photos indeed.

Feb/March is low season, Karen, so not as crowded as usual. (I hate crowds!) And extremely good value, or I’d never have managed to get my husband there. 🙂 It was a bit of a gamble weatherwise but we were very lucky. Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying it with me.

Collapsed! 🙂 James was back on a flying visit yesterday, so much washing and cooking was done. Zumba’d this morning and just going to chill this afternoon and watch a bit of tennis. Almost non stop rain since we got back but brightening up now. 🙂

Good pictures Jo, I seem to remember that it is difficult to get good angles on the Cathedral but you have done a great job.

You did, you did! I’m so pleased you had a good time, much deserved darling. It looks great, even the street art is classic. I must say that whoever is standing outside the museo, I prefer looking at his shadow 🙂 🙂 🙂 That looks like my kind of café, I’ll have the choccy dessert and perhaps a nice little Chianti. Have a good day sweetie, I’m still in my dressing gown but eh dogs are looking at me, hoping I’ll move myself x:-)x

Debonair David? Not the original, of course. We didn’t make it to the Accademia. It was next on our list but we ran out of time 🙂 🙂 You will have the best time, sweetheart, and the food is divine. I can recommend the crostone with fagioli and cavolo nero (white beans and black cabbage 🙂 )
