I wish we had more boardwalks and flatter, wider trails. We do seem to relish clambering over stiles and rocky, stony or muddy poorly maintained public footpaths (at least they are poorly maintained around here – often ankle deep mud or covered in brambles and impossible to get through.) I would do a lot more walking if it was less hazardous.
