Hareshaw Linn on a Summer day
Linn or waterfall
Teaming down the weathered rock
Captive in the pool
For Viv, now in France, who knows this part of the world, and who most of you know for her poetry. Hareshaw Linn is described as one of the best walks in Northumberland.
I hope the weekend brings you a little sunshine. Not too much! And that you’ll share it with Cate at Show My Face. My walk on Monday takes me back down to Yorkshire. See you then!

This is the way to do summer on a lazy afternoon day! Cheers to summer waterfalls!

I would have liked a little more sun but in the woods it doesn’t really matter. The waterfall was beautifully spotlit for me 🙂

Gorgeous lighting in this photo Jo, and I hope you got some sunshine this weekend 😎 We did on Saturday, delighted for the young couple whose wedding it was, since Friday and Sunday were awful wet days. My middle boy was the best man, so proud of him 🙂

What a lovely way to spend a Saturday! I love a wedding, Sherri 🙂 Saturday was nice but we deteriorated slowly. Is this Autumn?

It was really lovely Jo, the reception was held at the bride’s family’s home with spectacular views over the Wiltshire countryside. I hope we have some more summer…

I’m getting inspired with your haikus Jo, it is very good, I think it flows (haha) better with the “the” in there… Such an inspiring photo too…

That’s two new words I’ve learnt this weekend, I learnt gullion from an Irish man yesterday! What a lovely spot this is and your haiku is fab. When you’re famous haiku master I’m going to take a tiny bit of credit for inspiring you a tiny little bit. Have a glorious Sunday sweetie, it’s pouring with rain here so I’m going shopping for new knickers x:-)x

Happy shopping! The rain hasn’t quite got here yet so I did the veggies for Sunday lunch in the garden this morning. 🙂 I may have another word for you tomorrow, but you might know it. Thanks a lot for your so kind words. The linn was a great subject. 🙂

Beautiful scene. I love the image of the waterfall being captured in the pool.
We’re expecting a little rain this weekend, and since we haven’t had any for the past couple of months, we’re delighted.

Ours comes and goes but overall it’s been a very dry summer for this part of the world. Just enough to keep the rivers flowing 🙂 Thanks, Nicki!

Double treat, Jo. Haiku and Linn. My yard is a lake from the rain last night. I expect to see ducks land any moment. 🙂

You got our share! We just had a little shower 🙂 The couple we were with at the Linn yesterday said that’s the least water they can remember seeing in it.

Only discussing waterfalls last night with the OH. The way ours are so much smaller than those in the States, but often in such interesting out-of-the-way places. Nice haiku too.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂

Nothing special this weekend. Mick is digging and working on the redesign (a little bit 🙂 ) Yesterday was a lovely day with friends up at the Linn, which I’ve never walked before. Have you made it to a garden yet this week? Weather’s a bit iffy but ok for the Sunderland Air Show. Keeping everybody out of our hair 🙂
