I didn’t like to say so in the post, Jude, but the ladies at Riverside were very disparaging about the lady owner at Moonfleet. Seems she picks and chooses who comes into her premises and if she doesn’t feel like opening, doesn’t! A bit cavalier! There are some new holiday cottages in the village with a restaurant to service them. The ladies say the locals are going there and giving Moonfleet the cold shoulder (and the food’s very good and it overlooks the children’s playground, so everyone’s happy- except her ladyship 🙂 ) Shame to take a lovely building like that on and then alienate everyone. Villagers have long memories.

Great location and I like the signage. It looks like a lovely building, were you sad that it is no longer a coffee house?

That’s a shame, it looks as though it could be a really special boutique style sort of place to stay in.
