😆 I am not sure your ixus supports raw files ;). Mine did not, and I was an ixus girls up to 2 summers ago … some of my best photos came out of it — most of the time automatic settings on my ixus knew a lot more than I did and than I do today :D. I like this soft red … the vivid red is a bit too much for me (perhaps for living in communism for such a long time ;))
True red flowers seem to be very hard to photograph. I never have any success. I guess you have to take it in RAW and then process it afterwards, obviously pink is what the camera interprets it as. (I am assuming here you take pictures as jpegs? Ignore me if you don’t…)
I do, because I don’t know how to take them in RAW. Isn’t that something you eat?
Sorry to be flippant. I’m useless at the technical side but I WOULD like to take better photos. 🙂
Your camera may have a RAW setting, but they are VERY large files (24mb) and then you need to process them in some editing software. I have tried a few times, but actually don’t get very good results. I really need to go on a photography course to get to grips with all the manual settings. Soon maybe 🙂
It is beautiful!!!! Great shot too 🙂

Thanks, but it should be bright red! I gave up after a few shots. Jude suggested RAW and photo editing. Well, you know me- too lazy! 🙂 )
