You might have noticed I’ve got my “Greek head” on at the minute. Something to do with sunshine, or lack of. The above photo is one that was destined for my post A tale or two : Rhodes, but it escaped. I rather think it must have been holding back for Ailsa’s challenge this week.
The challenges can be a lot of fun, can’t they? With Ailsa’s permission I’m going to use this post to ask whether anyone has heard anything of Jake of Jakesprinter’s Sunday Post lately? We all pass each other by and dash to the next challenge, but Jake has been strangely absent since his Entrance post. He has left no hint on there of his whereabouts, and hasn’t been commenting on posts as he normally would. Maybe he’s just busy, but I would like to be reassured if any of you know anything more?
Sorry, Ailsa, to use your post like this, but it’s been “nibbling” at me all week. Hope you don’t mind? There are some great bench shots over there so don’t forget to check them out. Thanks everybody.

I’ve been wondering about Jake too – it happened once before when he skipped a week or two and was working with restructuring his blog as I recall. I too hope he’s doing OK. Nice post Jo

Thanks, Tina. I saw a “like” on Facebook from Jake last week so thought he would be back for Sunday, but it didn’t happen. Sonel’s just given him an award so I’m waiting to see if he acknowledges that. Beyond that is infringing on his privacy, isn’t it, but I did think about emailing him. 🙂

What a great collection of benches, Jo! I have been wondering where Jake is too. Did you find out anything?

Not a thing, Cath. Tomorrow he should be back, if it was just a holiday. Otherwise, I really don’t know. 🙂

Strange, it seems like it’s been a long time. Usually he posts his Sunday post on Saturday and there was nothing yesterday either. That’s two weeks now.

Some good news- he “liked” something on Facebook yesterday (a company- nothing personal), so he’s still about! If he doesn’t post today I’ll just respect his privacy till I hear from him.
It seems such a long time when you’re waiting! 🙂

a great collection. I do hope all is well with Jake. I haven’t been taking part with many challenges this year but I do enjoy seeing others. I hope Jake is just away on holiday. It is a little worrisome when someone who blogs regularly just disappears.

I hate it when it happens, TBM. You do get attached to people on here.

He’s a popular little chap, Madhu.
I hate it when people disappear. But there can be all kinds of explanations, and maybe I’m out of order. It was well meant, but nobody seems to have an answer.

Hi, Restless Jo! I have been reading your blog for a few months. I am planning a trip to northern Spain, and I am wondering if that is a part of Europe where you have traveled much. I would love some advice and tips. If you have a minute, I would be so grateful if you would consider contacting me via e-mail!

There’s is something so appealing to me about bronze statues.
I like the bronze knight. I can imagine T would have to sit next to him, like he did with Blind Jack in Knaresborough.
