Celebrated landmark 50th post this week
https://restlessjo.wordpress.com/2012/03/30/k-is-for-krakow/
Thought I’d share with you just a few more images of my favourite Polish city.

Wasn't sure what to make of this outdoor exhibition but I liked it. "Lady with the ermine" reference?
Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did. Read the Krakow guide and tell me what you think if you have time? Have a good weekend and don’t forget to play Six word Saturday with Cate at http://www.showmyface.com/2008/01/six-word-saturdays.html Click on the button below to see more of my Six word Saturdays.

Thanks for reading Tita. I do like this collection of photos but I’ve just discovered that one of them has disappeared! Not sure why it happens but some photos that I’ve edited are a bit rebellious. Will put it back in again and keep fingers crossed. Can’t keep checking all of my posts every day so happy you commented and I can fix this one. (for now!)

The smashed-up-tombstones wall is like a giant mosaic! It’s actually beautiful. And that gate intrigues me. 🙂

Glad you like them Madhu. It’s an unspoilt place when you get away from the cities, but I’m obviously biased towards Krakow.

I like such buildings because I have studied architecture since I was a student. 🙂

Thanks Becca. They’re very different aren’t they? My own experience of the States is limited to Florida and a tiny bit of California but I would so love to do Big Sur, and South Carolina too (can’t get much further apart can I? I like the coast you see) I thought San Diego was beautiful too. So much world out there. Thanks for your visit.

Love the mosaic shapes on the wall of the Jewish cemetery. The photos remind me of Tallin in Estonia, very similar architecture.

Yes I’ve heard good recommendations for Tallin and Villnius David. Just need more time and a big dollop of cash. Have to settle for an imagination!

They have a look of the “ermine” in the Da Vinci painting and at the time it was still on display in the Czsartoryski Museum prior to moving to London. I didn’t think of it at the time- I was just bemused.
