Christmas wishes

The lights are sparkling brightly in Tavira this year, my first ever Christmas in the Algarve. You have to be careful what you wish for. Last Christmas I shared the chaos in the UK, along with the hugs, kisses, love and laughter, before returning gratefully to my home here, vowing not to do it again. This year, deprived of family, there’s nowhere I’d rather be. But if we can’t be with them to share the hugs, nothing can stop us from sharing the love. That never changes. Thank you all for sharing it with me. On the eve of Christmas I’m counting my blessings, and wishing you a peaceful, happy Christmas, surrounded by love. In the end, that’s all that matters.

  1. It’s going to be a difficult and strange one for so many this year. But we just keep putting one foot in front of the other and we will get there in the end. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

  2. The lights look lovely Jo, I like the top centre shot of the tree and the circle of blue stars 🙂 Christmas will be tough for so many people this year but we just have to hold onto the positives – I hope your first Portuguese Christmas is special for you whichever way you celebrate it xx

  3. It’s going to be tough without our families – remember that the same would have happened if you lived in the UK – we can’t see our families, both in high-tier, either. So enjoy your Portuguese experience, and be sure to share some pictures. Sending virtual hugs.
