A teddy bear’s picnic,
Where else but in the woods?
Watched by two wise birds.
One last offering from Shropshire. It didn’t seem to sit well on the end of Monday’s walk though that is when I saw them, in the grounds of the Longmynd Hotel, before we tramped wearily back into Church Stretton. I love the owl but the bears are a bit creepy, don’t you think?
Have a good Thursday!
Oh yes, those bears are spooky and I wouldn’t want to walk in their midst in the dark! I like the ponderance of the owl! I’m soon off to a local garden and hall where they’re having an exhibition of 300 sculptures and hopefully a post will come from the visit! Wishing you a lovely weekend, Jo. Xx😀❤️

We saw a project like this in Fredrikstad, Norway. They have a 2 km carved animal trail that attracts a lot of people, especially families. The bears remind me of standing stones. 🙂
Have a great weekend, Jo

I love wood carvings, Klaus, and we have a forest trail quite near to home that has some beauties. 🙂 🙂 This one was quite small and in the grounds of a hotel, but quite appealing. Thanks a lot!

I love them all Jo. The bears seem a bit grumpy and possibly their heads have been squished in a vice. Well that would make me grumpy too!

Oh, I know all about being a bear with a sore head, Sue. 🙂 🙂

This looks like such a fun trail to explore, Jo! I’ve seen similar sculptures in some of the local parks in Seoul. 🙂

I do love wood carvings. Funnily enough these were in the grounds of a hotel! 🙂 🙂

Creepy was the first thing that sprang into my mind! Read previous comments and now I’ve spotted the stag spying too.

I did have a half decent close up of the stag, Anabel, but in trying to ‘fix it’ I messed up. That’ll teach me! 🙂 🙂

An unusual concept in the woods, another trail I never explored 😦

Strangely it’s in the grounds of the Longmynd Hotel, Jude. I went mostly out of curiosity. The legs were tired by then 🙂 🙂

I wonder what it is the bears don’t want to see and hear?

Makes you think they might come “alive” at night the way they are all in a circle. Good thing someone did not put the bears behind trees, that would be a fright if you were walking quickly! Great find! Here is something similar, do you know about the TREE SPIRITS on St. Simons Island, Georgia? Take a look: https://brilliantviewpoint.com/2016/09/30/tree-spirits-st-simons-island-georgia/

I was disappointed with the photos, Debs. There was a rather strange metal stag looking down from the hill. I tried to improve the quality of the image and converted it to black and white, then I lost the original. Duh! 🙂 🙂
