Restless by name, restless by nature

Restless?  Who me?  You could say that.  I don’t know quite when or where it all began, nor do I know when it will end, but I hope to enjoy it while I can.  It’s not as though I don’t have beautiful places to wander to.

It’s sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse.  How is it that some people never have the urge to roam? (my husband being one of them)  I only have to see a boat moored up to be champing at the bit.  Take me with you!

Debbie set the theme Restless on her One Word Sunday challenge this week.  How could I possibly not join in?

    1. Two blissful moments captured, Tish. Why not share them? 🙂 🙂 The wind is raging around here today but at least the rain has gone (for a little while 🙂 ) Thanks for your company!

  1. What a perfect theme for you. I agree. Either you have the urge to discover or you don’t. No matter which type of person you are, it’s all good.

  2. I can so relate to that restlessness, Jo! My Mike, like yours, doesn’t have that urge to wander like I do! However, he does humor me by often being a good natured participant. I think Mick does that too. That’s so good of them, especially considering it’s not in their nature. 🙂

  3. As Annika has said, this post was made for you, Jo! I am a kindred restless spirit, but alas I have to be more grounded these days! But I’m still on the lookout for places to go, and ways of achieving that!

      1. Well, thank you, Jo! You’ve given me a nice warm glow, in addition to the happy feeling from meeting a friend for a coffee and pain au chocolat (my treat to myself after a half mile walk into town!) a good afternoon!

  4. Jo, the theme was meant for you!! I’m the same, always wanting to explore, try new adventures whilst my husband is more laid back, cautious but always willing! Thank you for sharing the beautiful photos, a welcome reminder of the sea, sun and summer after some stormy cold days.😀

    1. Yesterday was an atrocious day, Annika! I couldn’t even watch tennis because it was rained off. 🙂 🙂 Poor me! I bet you’re so sorry for me. Mick never is, and he does kick against it sometimes, but why shouldn’t he? He’s a good-hearted guy.

      1. Tennis?? I hadn’t really noticed!! I’m in full GCSE mode at the moment. Gosh, you never really realise how your parents suffer through the exams! Only a week and half to go. Enjoy the tennis and hope the ball can fly straight!

  5. I didn’t realise you were in a perpetual state of hanker, even though you are restlessjo. I’m a beneficiary, because you have an inexhaustible supply of wonderful things you see – like those slender masts. And the birds with their shadows. And I’m a sucker for daisies too. They’re daisychain daisies. What are the poles? Grateful hugs .

    1. Beach umbrellas in their Winter state. I don’t usually hanker when I’m watching tennis or reading a good book in the garden… and you are lovely as well as very observant. Thank you! XX

  6. Adore both the first and the last photos….
One for the originality of its composition and the other for being extremely classical….

You know I love your posts , (where your ” Jorestlessness ” is so visible and unique ) and admire your articles and shots intensely….and with a bit of envy…. (I’ m more similar to your husband ,you know!….)………………..
    Hugs,
    A.

    1. I wish that I could be contented in my life, Anna, and not always hankering after somewhere else. I do try to be happy with what I’ve got, and I do have plenty, don’t I? And a lovely guy who tolerates all this. 🙂 🙂 Thanks a lot for always being there with your support.
