Windows, or doors?
Old, or new?
Real, or imagined?
But the hardest choice of all? Which challenge to enter! And I’m spoilt for choice this week, because Klara Bach has given me choices in Thursday’s Special. I’ve promised Dawn I’ll linger by a few more windows, and then there’s Norm’s Doors! I ask you- what’s a girl to do? Enjoy the challenge, I guess. I hope you do, too. Every picture tells a story! Do you have a favourite?

I love the oldest and most decayed doors like the white and the grey-yellow one best, exactly my taste, beautiful

I like those white ones very much too. I never used to see the beauty in neglect and decay but it’s definitely growing on me. 🙂 Many thanks!

I’m happy you found the beauty in decay now, too, because for me it’s so much beauty and I always love to photograph it

Love this selection of great photos! I especially love the first, though – any invitation to snoop is worth showing off, and one so artfully done is doubly great.

Yes- I’m a natural snoop too 🙂 That’s what windows are for- right? Thanks, Snoopy 🙂

I absolutely love the first picture, the old dresser in the mirror…Brilliant

It’s actually a broken panel in the door of a very ramshackle looking house, from this week’s Monday walk. 🙂 Never know what you’ll find! Thanks a lot 🙂

What a wonderful selection, Jo! 😀I love them all but always enjoy looking through a gap or window to see the other side so the first one resonates particularly.

The first one was a stop and stare moment, but I do find it hard to choose. 🙂 Thanks, Annika!

All gorgeous Jo but I’m going with real or imagined. Aren’t you clever to have found that collection!

Graffiti/trompe l’oeuil is quite popular in some parts of the Algarve now, Sue. It’s quite a surprise when you walk round a corner sometimes. More to come (but you’ll miss them, you lucky lady 🙂 ). The pirates were just for you 🙂 And Dave, of course!

Wonderful Jo, personally I do like the very very top picture – like me you always like to show the beauty behind the ugliness!! But, the woman with baby in door, where did you find her? Spain or Portugal?

These are all from the Algarve. The little town of Sao Bras de Alportel has some wonderful ‘graffiti’, if you could even call it that. 🙂 Trompe l’oeuil maybe fits better. The top one was a gem found in one of the villages on my Monday walk.

We had some beautiful sunny days and some cloudy ones, Peter, but it’s never hard to find beauty in the Algarve. 🙂 Thanks a lot!

They surely are, Klara 🙂 I was in the Algarve for a couple of weeks and you wouldn’t believe how many doors/windows caught my eye. Thanks a lot!
