Someone in the Upper Peninsula, told me that the tannin from certain trees made the water so brown in Michigan. I wonder if you know about what kind of tree does this? Maybe a type of evergreen, since you have captured this very well, I thought you may know this about the water… Take care, Jo!

Sadly I’m not at all knowledgeable on the subject. I understood that the pigment came from the soil. We have a number of places around here where the water is noticeably brown. When I have a minute, a bit later, I will Google it for you and find out. 🙂
