One last serious look at pink

Waffles anyone? With jam and cream Lollo Rosso, growing in the strangest place Honestly, it’s not terracotta! My hydrangeas are back! And a last shot on the card…
Here we are, rolling into May, and a happy Bank Holiday for many of you. Here in the Algarve it’s Dia de Trabalhores (Labour Day) today and Mother’s Day tomorrow. The restaurants are allowed to stay open into the evening for the first time in ages and the borders reopen too. Cause for celebration? I’m having 3 bites at the cherry with this random selection from Faro (and my patio). Six Words for Debbie, a smidgeon of Pink for Jude and a Last on the card, for Brian. Happy weekend, everybody!

The restrictions are slowly lifting up in my town as well but I’m staying cautious.
Lovely captures π

It might be a last look at pink, and a good one, Jo, but your future sure looks rosy with things opening up again. I hope you had a nice Motherβs Day celebration and enjoyed some cake afterwards. π

It’s going in the right direction, Liesbet, but flying isn’t going to be straightforward for a while. Mother’s Day falls on a different day in the UK and we thought restaurants here might be busy so we opted for a lovely beach stroll and I cooked dinner. No pud π€£π

Beautiful hydrangea Jo. And yay for open restaurants. Hopefully people will be careful and they can stay open.

Mostly we eat outdoors, which reduces the risk, Su, but people are visibly relaxing and they are a nation of huggers. It’s one of the things I love about them. π π And we can’t go on like this forever. It’s soul destroying!

I get that! I really feel for my mum in the UK, and even here where we’re pretty much business as usual, there is a residual fear which is stressful for everyone.

I love hydrangeas and the deep purple would have to be more favourites. Very ordered vegetable garden.

The garden was in a huge empty space in the old town in Faro, Suzanne, It was obviously part of a scheme, but we couldn’t fathom what it was all about. One to check on in the future π π

Sounds a worthwhile venture and hopefully feed a few families.
