My very own! Lemon singular, though the tree promises more.

Algarve Cycle Trail Gas canisters West to east
Bottled gas is often used in Portugal. It was a number of years before our street went over to mains. Till then the gas bottle sat on the doorstep.
Around the roundabout the fish leap and dive and swim away!
Santa Luzia, where I’ve whiled away many an hour. Also on the Algarve Cycle Trail, strewn in places with beautiful osteospernum.

You live in a really beautiful place, Jo. Gorgeous gallery.

Beautiful, invigorating, inspiring. Love lemons and anything yellow. They are like an instant joyful sunshine. Lemons reminds me of blessings that we need to appreciate & be thankful for. Take care and stay safe my friend.

Love yellow and lemons Jo π Alas our lemon tree does not look like these photos but we have friends with an abundance of lemons so we regularly receive a large bag of them. Blues and yellows are such a pretty combination π

Ours looked very healthy when we got it, but it lived in a pot for a long time and we’ve just planted it in the ground. Being outstripped by the fig tree at the moment π π

Ours did reasonably well when we first moved here but then we relocated it to another flower bed when we put our pool in and the poor tree was never the same after that π¦ Our previous cat used to sit under it – she lived to be nearly 19. We’ve kept the lemon tree in her memory but surrounded it with new pots full of flowers and a couple of cumquats to brighten the area up π π

Those are Gazanias – one of my favourite summer annuals here – only annuals, as we do not have winters conducive to the continued bloom of an African Daisy — nowhere close LOL! But they bloom continuously and make brilliant borders in the main beds.

How exciting to have your own lemon(s)!! ππ Ahh … I adore the glittering array of yellows from Portugal, a perfect match to all the blue and just like that it feels like summer and all the joy that come along with it!

Our estate is primarily white with yellow trims, Annika, and it makes an easy background for that sky. π π I shall go and talk to my little lemon tree. Whisper a few words of encouragement…

How large will the tree grow, Jo? and will that mean you will harvest even more fruit?!!!

We’ll have to prune it as we only have a patio at the back of the house. It’s about 5 foot at the moment so there’s plenty of scope, and hopefully, yes π π

This is a lovely collection of yellows, Jo. Our lemon tree is loaded with tiny fruit and hopefully by winter they’ll all be ripening beautifully.

Lovely gallery of yellows Jo. Thereβs nothing quite like popping out to the tree and picking a lemon. Iβm thinking of planting a lime as well for my G&T β theyβre a horrendous price here most of the time. Makes the gin seem cheap!!

Funnily enough, I thought I was buying a lime at the time, Su, as lemons are so commonplace here (in a good way π ) But as it grew I realised I’d got it wrong π¦ But I don’t bear a grudge π
