She’s such a sweet natured lady with a love of life. Have you all met Marsha?
Challenge Host Interview # 11
Good morning hobby bloggers and welcome, Restless Jo, to my blog, Always Write. I am honored to have you as a guest on my blog. I met you through my friend Carol, The Eternal Traveler, when I started blogging in 2012. When did you start blogging, Jo?
Where did it all start? I began, very tentatively, to blog in September 2011. I’ve always loved to write, but technology isn’t something I took to with ease. Ask my long suffering husband! He’s my IT ‘expert’ but with no experience of, or interest in, the world of blogging. I simply wanted to tell my travel stories. Once I got the hang of blogging, I wanted to do it ‘my way’.

I enjoyed reading the interview – it filled in a little background for me and helped me get to know you better. I am with you on several points, like being overwhelmed by the need to answer comments, reading and rereading posts many times, not posting while on holiday, having words running through my head at night, and more. I’m a restless one too, Jo. 😉

I can tell that, Lynn 🙂 🙂 Thanks a lot for reading.

That was a fabulous interview Jo. I love that you have stayed true to yourself and done what feels right for you. That authentic approach comes through in each of your posts. I feel if we sat together for a piece of cake I would feel like we had met many times before. XO

That’s really nice to know, Sue. Fabulous that we can build these relationships from either side of the ‘pond’. 🙂 🙂 Thanks for being you!

Hiya, darlin! I must admit that I was surprised that Marsha ‘met’ me via your good self. It’s a small world in the end, isn’t it? It’s been a pleasure knowing you. 🙂 🙂

We are here partly to entertain ourselves and others, Suzanne, and sometimes to try and push a few boundaries. In doing that we can’t help but get involved in others lives. It’s arguably the best part of blogging 🙂 🙂 And I value your company always.

Yes, I enjoy blogging and have finally decided to rid myself of Facebook, quality over quantity is the best for now. Even more of the old fashioned communication 🙂

I hold on to Facebook to follow the lives of friends and stay in touch, but it’s not my real world 🙂 🙂

Staying in touch on FB is unfortunately having to scroll through too much inrelevent rubbish. That is not what I class as keeping in touch.

I do know what you’re saying but I love the glimpses I get of their world- photos, memories, sometimes silly shares, a fabulous cake that my daughter knew would make me smile… 🙂 🙂 I skip the dross or unfollow them!

For me, I just want to keep my focus on the SM that I enjoy. I found I was getting annoyed at all the advertising and sharing of rubbish. Good on your daughter for making you smile 😃

What a lovely interview, Jo, I was glad to learn more about you and your why and how you started blogging. Not to sure about the ”hobby blogger” title – your blog is what you believe it is. Don’t let any one tell you otherwise. Aiva xxx

Wonderful interview Jo. I think we all start knowing not much about blogging and gradually finding our way because it’s such a compelling activity. Especially the creative part, and the making friends all over the world part.

It opens doors to worlds you knew nothing about, Alison. I think we all have a strong sense of what blogging means to us, or we wouldn’t be here for all this time. Thanks for being a friend 🙂 🙂

Fantastic interview, Jo. I like how some of your past posts were included in Marsha’s interview post.
I just started hosting the Weekend Coffee Share blog link up. It’s on every week, Friday to Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join in any and every week. Details on my blog. I hope you consider joining any week so more blog readers get to see your great posts and photos. Not that you need more followers or commenters but I think they’ll get enjoyment out of your blog. Have a wonderful week!

The posts go back a long way, Natalie. Some I can barely remember but they’re all good memories. Thanks a lot for reading this. I spotted your Coffee Share weekends. I’ll pop in but won’t be taking part until Becky’s skware challenge ends. Take good care! 🙂 🙂

What is this preoccupation with cake I seem to find nowadays? Sticky toffee pudding and custard this afternoon 🤗💕

Well you almost always end your walk with cake and yet you didn’t mention it in the interview. I suspect a lot of your followers read your posts to see what deliciousness you have for them 🤣

The subject didn’t come up! I worked with a set of questions Marsha provided. The C word wasn’t there and some of us have our figure to consider 🤣🤣🤣

You don’t have anything to worry about your figure. I just have to look at cakes and my waist doubles in size 😭
