Six word Saturday

I like a bit of contrast!

If you saw the dazzling blue of last week’s Six Word Saturday you’ll know what I mean.

I loved capturing the swirling mists and contorted shapes, but gradually it cleared to blue. I thought of Cathy and her Photography Invitationย  but I never forget Six Word Saturday.ย  Start counting down with Debbie?ย  Happy Saturday!

  1. I almost missed this post! I love those foggy days! The dew on the flowers of the first photos is just lovely… Those are the images that make me want to buy a macro lens desperately! All those tiny details and reflections… And I love the mood of the rest, a bit dark and somehow melancholic… For me, these kind of weather is the one that makes you be more creative!

    1. I know what you mean. Everything looks good in the sun but the more moody aspects appeal to me too. Often I’m walking with a group so there’s not so much time to indulge. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks a lot, Tina ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ September/Oct is usually a great time weatherwise, and you are accustomed to warmth. It can still be busy as the holiday season seems to get longer. Nearer the time if you let me know your plans, as this was our busiest period for guests this year, but I can always find some time if I need to.

      1. Thanks Jo, yes that was our thinking. I know what you mean about guests, it’s the same here in spring and fall. No idea what our itinerary will look like but it it comes together will let you know.

    1. Thanks, hon ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ The walk we did on Friday followed the course of a stream and the only sign of it was a couple of tired puddles. We need lots more rain to fill that reservoir.

  2. Your photos of this misty day are very atmospheric, Jo. I love the pictures of the trees in the mists and the raindrops on the berries (?). Wonderful. And thanks for the link. I’ll add it to my next post on Thursday, December 5. Happy weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Wow, you get mist and such in the Algarve? Iโ€™m sure itโ€™s a nice change, especially when itโ€™s not too cold. And, you know, the blue will return shortly. Well captured, Jo; the weather and the atmosphere and the contrast. Have a nice weekend.

  4. Jo, I adore these photos … the mist so mysterious and the final photograph is stunning – what a contrast of the landscape and the water. I find it haunting! Wishing you a lovely weekend, my friend and Happy First Advent! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. It was still quite warm under the mist, Annika, and in one place there was heather in bloom, giving a lovely rosy blush beneath the trees. Not really like a winter’s day ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you! Wishing you a happy weekend.

    1. It was still quite warm with the cloud cover. Cooler temperatures come when those clouds blow away at this time of year. Chilly first thing and after dusk but still pleasant days, Ann. Things ok with you? ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
