Six word Saturday

Seven on Saturday, or just six?

The last one’s a bit of a tease but I know you like cake!  I glean my flower shots from all sorts of places- our own garden, the odd bouquet, and often from Open Gardens on a Sunday afternoon. One Sunday there was a raffle for the cake above.  I didn’t win, but I got the shot.

The current extravaganza of flowers is Becky’s fault.  She started me off with Square in September, I responded with 7 , and now I can’t seem to stop!  Join in, if you like, but don’t forget to share six words with Debbie.  And have a great weekend!

    1. Not a morsel passed my lips, Sue! But I seem to remember a rather nice scone with cream and jam. 🙂 🙂 Sunday afternoon treat. Our roses are bowing their heads and wearing a ‘not more rain’ expression, I must admit. 😦 But we can’t compete with poor Houston.

  1. I missed this in non-reception J territory. You and Jude are making me a big fan of square. I’ve framed a collection of shells thusly for a future post. I’m sending Wednesday hugs enveloped in excess pittosporum perfume on a warm morning.

  2. oh this has made me feel like it is summer again, just perfect. Happily accept your excess! Now if you could just send a piece of that cake to me, I’d be very happy . . .I know you didn’t win it but if you could steal it off the person who did!!

  3. I love the twist in this post, Jo, with the last photo. 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was full of explorations again, for the last time in New Mexico state!

    1. That’s gone quickly, Liesbet! I was back at those lock gates in dazzling sunshine on Saturday, and down in Yorkshire with grey skies again yesterday. Life’s rich pattern! 🙂 🙂 But best of all I watched Rafa win the US Open 🙂 🙂

  4. Don’t stop…I’m loving these! 😀 Are they all current in which case you have a lot of flowers with the weather turning…they’re beautiful. Ahh..the cake is wonderfully inventive and the flowers so delicate and pretty…I wouldn’t want to cut into that piece of art! 😀❤️

    1. Hello darlin 🙂 🙂 I’d have had to share the cake if I’d won it. Mick had a job in Thirsk today so I had a tootle down there to keep him company. Better than staying at home cooking. 🙂 All good with you?
