Last day of June

Not long ago, Jude took us on a delightful tour of her new garden.  It set me thinking, and these are some of the results.

Whenever I possibly can, I’m out in the garden for breakfast.  Keeping a watchful eye and enjoying the serenity.  I thought you might like to share it.

Jude, does this say Essence of Summer to you?

    1. June seems a lifetime ago, but I’ve had lots of breakfasts out there this year. 🙂 Yesterday was glorious and I was in the garden with a book and my foot up all morning, then sitting outside at our marina with a friend all afternoon. Things have changed today though 😦 Damp and misty!

  1. Your garden is so beautiful Jo, what a wonderful place to relax in. Mine is just recovering from a bout of heavy rain and storms earlier in the week. I wanted to post some before I signed off, but no time. So I’ll enjoy yours instead! I wanted to stop by and see you before I disappear, but I’ll look forward to reading your posts via FB if you post them there. At least then I won’t feel so disconnected while I write…*she says optomistically* 🙂 xx

    1. I’ve got half an eye on the tennis, Sherri, but it’s just not the same without Rafa. I hear he’s fit and practising again. I won’t have Wifi in the Algarve but I’ll look for you as soon as I get the chance. You’d better have an armful of hugs in the meantime 🙂

      1. I was gutted to hear Rafa wouldn’t be at Wimbledon. I’m loving Tsonga and the Canadian and Sam Querry beating Djokovic. Bring it on!! Aww…I’m gripping onto all those hugs Jo…they’ll keep me going until you return!

      1. Home now, after a glorious week of cruising. We’ve just been skyping with our daughter in Manchester. Our winter temperature today was 6 to 20 degrees C and her summer temperature is 5 to 17 degrees. That’s not summer. 🙂

  2. Gorgeous, I love clematis in all their forms. It looks like your camera has captured the colours well. Do you garden or M? It looks immaculate, even the hostas are intact! x:-)x

  4. Such a perfect retreat. I am doing the same – pulling out one thing (weedy hydrangea) to put in another (lavender.) Hopefully, the lavender will adjust better to the dry, dry climate. 😉

    1. Hi Susan 🙂 Our cloudy days far outnumber the sunny ones, so I make the most of them.
(haven’t had chance to read your book because we have been blessed with a few nice days- which means that my evenings are spent trying to keep up on the blog 🙂 I’ll get there! )
