I spent very little time at the beach on my recent trip to the Algarve, but there’s an ugly/beautiful stretch of river beach quite close to our home in Tavira. On a warm, February, late afternoon I sat on a rock and just let my thoughts drift right out there, with the tide.

Ugly/beautiful, yes Jo beauty is in everything we just need not to be too judgemental. If we slow down and look for the beautiful we will see it. Very relaxing post and quote. And are those yellow flowers some kind of bindweed? Evening primrose? I can’t see the leaves, but Becky might know. She seems to be a keen wild flower photographer in the Algarve.

Hello, sweetheart 🙂 Feather duster buster put away for the evening! Going well? I’ve been calling them Yellow falseheads, Jude, because I saw that description in the walking trails guide. They’re everywhere like a Spring carpet in the Algarve, usually covering the fields so I was surprised to see them in this habitat. Windblown, I guess. I love a survivor 🙂
