Alice in… Saltburn-by-the-Sea
I could have chosen a better day to visit Saltburn, but the sun was shining when I left home. At least I didn’t have to elbow my way through the crowds, but the wind had Alice and her friends bobbing about a bit! Still good fun, though. See how many characters you can recognise?
Don’t forget to click on the smaller photos for details!
I had such fun playing with these guys! Each year Saltburn comes up trumps with its yarn bombing, whatever the weather. I hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks to Elaine for reminding me, because I almost forgot.
Have a happy weekend, won’t you, and don’t forget to pop in on Cate at Show My Face with your ‘six’ words. See you Monday!
GREAT!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

What a lot of work goes into that knitting! But I guess it must be great fun for knitters to get together to creat these displays…hope so!

I imagine so 🙂 There’s a bit of a mystery about how the pier becomes decorated every year. A secret knitting society! 🙂

Lovely and brilliant. The attention to detail is astonishing. How nice to share with everyone in the community. I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite. A friend shared your post with me today because I was talking about Knitfiti (grafitti for knitters) at my blog. So happy she did 😀 Cheers from Boomdee

Thank you very much for your visit. It’s an event I look forward to every year. Once upon a time I used to knit but never with this intricacy 🙂

Happy to meet your whimsical new yarn buddies Jo. The curios goose who ‘doesn’t want to miss anything’ is my favourite, because she reminds me of you 🙂

It’s funny where these terms spring from, isn’t it, Debbie? I can remember thinking what???? when I first saw it. But I love tree wrapping with knitting and other such whimsy. It gladdens my heart. 🙂

What a joy to admire these characters! The Battenburg looks nice (I love that cake!). It’s amazing the details the creators have gone into to make these stories come alive.
