Six word Saturday

I’m back, but where to start?

Maybe with where I've just been?

You recognise it, of course!

And a bridge you must have seen before

And its companion, the Military Bridge

And that’s just a beginning!  I hope you will excuse me but I have so much catching up to do this weekend, along with my normal chores.  I should just about be ready for our Monday walk.

Have a happy weekend, won’t you?  I’ll be round as soon as possible.  Meantime, are you playing Six word Saturday?  Visit Cate at Show My Face to see how it’s done.

  1. It’s great to have you back, and as I said before you were missed!! Jo, thank you for sharing these fresh pics of Portugal so soon after your trip. I sure need them with all this rain and late Autumn feel. The photo featuring Military bridge at sunset is beautifully composed. Now, get rested for tomorrow’s walk. I will be coming along.

    1. Thanks, Paula 🙂 So sorry about your Mum’s problems and the floods. It’s always somebody’s turn, isn’t it?
Done most of my ‘chores’. Just a bit more ironing but I need to do a little catch up next, not to mention that walk! 🙂

  2. Welcome back, Jo! Glad you had a great time. I haven’t been blogging lately due to life generally, and hardly catch up with other r bloggers, but this morning I’m having a little stroll through the Reader….

    1. Good to hear from you, Sue 🙂 I’m back in the frantic catch up and still try to live my life cycle. It’s good to be out of the loop for a little while. And there’s always a nice warm welcome back 🙂

  3. Hurray! You’re back. I’ve missed your frequent presence on my screen. This post gives me a good taste of what you’ve been enjoying while I’ve been deprived.

I’m a sucker for patterns and so I loved the first photo. You have a bit of a signature when it comes to bridges: all of them interesting in some way. And I loved the whirl of the dancers. A pretty diverse lot of photos, showing the diversity of your Portuguese pleasures. More please. And I’m looking forward to walking with you tomorrow. I may even drag you up a rocky hillside with me, if I get busy.

    1. Morning, Meg! 🙂 (or is it evening down there? I’m quite lost!) I saw your comment about a new blog on Jude’s so I’m all agog. How goes the 83 beach hunt? I’m beach walking tomorrow (if i can ever get through today and its chores).

  4. I love the patterns in that first photo. And the blue-and-white tiles. There’s something comforting–old and yet fresh and new–about blue-and-white pottery or china.

    1. Azulejos are my joy, Nicki, and I was always a sucker for Wedgwood and its pale perfection. 🙂 Many thanks for your email. I appreciate it and will respond when I’m sorted (if ever!!!)
